just a puppy!

monday was a holiday and we were driving by our house when we saw this puppy on the side of the road, I immediately jumped out of the car and mike pulled over with the passenger door still open. she wasn't tired or scared and I could see a collar mark on her neck fur so we decided she couldn't be far from home. I took her back to the house where digger and bailey lost their MINDS and mike drove around the neighborhood looking for someone looking for their dog. after numerous semi-successful attempts at escape and a LOT of barking we decided to take her to the pasadena shelter which doesn't service altadena, baldwin park does which is by west covina - that makes sense - not! we posted signs in the neighborhood but I couldn't help feel that I was doing the wrong thing by taking her to the shelter let alone the pasadena one. the next day though someone saw our signs! she said her name is spot :)
I'm glad this story had a happy ending but I see dogs in the street literally every day. I hate this neighborhood and I hate myself for only taking care of the cute little ones :( Posted by sugi_grl at February 24, 2006 09:51 AM
