mtv satellite radio coverage of the vmas

...was AWFUL. where to start. um. ok let's see the 3 djs, brad, evan and kim were all the opposite of interesting, intelligent and articulate. one was standing next to jay-z and asked "so got anything new coming out" right after they acknowledged his retirement. they would play loud techno music over the interviewees. when they didn't have a celebrity to interview, they'd interview each other "so you got to talk to p diddy? what was that like?" "it was so awesome, he said stuff, it was off the chain." they like saying that. alot. kim was not only yelling into her mic but her levels were maxed out so she sounded distorted and I imagined that I could hear the level needles banging. one of the guys sounded like his speakers were on so the mic was picking up him and his slightly delayed broadcast. a pa called into a booth at one point on speaker and was like "is so and so there" and instead of moving right along the dj took the time to say "um hello we're on the air." incredibly bad. but not as bad as chaka khan who apparently went suddenly and completely tone deaf, dear lord. maybe they rehearsed it in a different key. hoobastank was pretty awful too but I wasn't expecting pavarotti. dirrty xtina must've taken a shower cause she was actually the right color, she must've been 5lbs lighter without her usual drag queen make-up. yellowcard acted like they'd found the cure for cancer when they won the mtv2 award. every year I say I won't watch, why can't I follow through!
