donnie darko
I have finally seen donnie darko. the director's cut in the theatre tonight. last night I noticed 1.5 hours into it that it was on HBO and only got 2 stars. I dragged mike along who, was not only blown away by the fact that they filmed the entire movie in his high school, but actually really liked it. even gave it 3.5 stars of his own which is incredible for a non-war movie. I have no idea how to describe it so I won't go into details but will say it's a good one to have under your belt.

ok I just found a killer *SPOILER* article at salon.com Everything you were afraid to ask about "Donnie Darko" and then watched it again on HBO - I like the director's cut better and I think the movie's really great. I've just now come to this conclusion because the seats at the theatre made my butt sore and put me in a bad non-receptive mood ;)
