digger's getting better and I almost killed him

I think digger peed this morning for the first time in 3 weeks, well at least the puddle on our newly refinished floors seemed like he did. good boy! then it was time for his medicine which he's quite tired of taking so I have to stand behind him, open his mouth, shove the pill as far down in the back of his mouth as I can and then hold his cheeks shut so he can't spit it out. I think it went down the wrong pipe because he started wheezing very slowly and went completely limp. of course I freaked and started slapping his back, shaking him upside down and sticking my finger down his throat. a few seconds later he was up running after treats. my poor dog, poor poor dog.
