muse absolution
I ran out and splurged on 4 new cds today: maroon 5, kick ass rock with soulish jamiroquai vocals; modest mouse: they've been underground long enough, they can come out and play with their talking heads/pixies-like single "float on"; dialated peoples: I love hip hop that makes me feel like dancing; and muse: their "time is running out" single half the time reminded me of radiohead and half the time reminded me of placebo, both good things to me. but now that I'm listening to the cd, I hear less and less of the other bands and more of muse's original sound which is so eclectic and fresh, tossing in tons of piano and symphonic elements that just add without sounding like a cheesy inspiration movie soundtrack. how do they do it? who are these people? :) check them out, muse is gooooooood.
