aaaaah... stupid people...

don't you just love them? I know I do! yesterday I had to sign my boss up for a conference she's attending in vegas. there's an online registration form-questionnaire combo that's mildy tedius but I'm moving right along. until I get to the last page and the continue button doesn't work. I view the source and see that the continue button is input type="button" instead of input type="submit" so while the continue button looks like a button, that's all it does, is look.

I call the number on the website and get a very rude southern boy who assures me that they are perfect and the problem is with my computer. I hang up. I call back and get a woman. she asks me to try shutting down my browser. I try to explain to her that that won't change anything, that I know exactly what the problem is, and that I'm telling her so that it can be fixed. she asks me what page I'm on. I try again: I know exactly what the problem is with the source code and that I'm telling her so that it can be fixed. she asks me if I mean promotion code. I hang up. I call the people throwing the conference. they tell me to call someone else. I call this someone else who just says mmhmm to everything and transfers me to customer service who tells me to fax in my registration. I call back the rude southern boy who says my registration won't be processed for 5 days and he is the night supervisor. I give up.
