dog door!

after mike's mom saw our workers working on their neighbors house, they finally came back to our house and managed to install the new dog door. it's a little (okay, a lot) too high for digger so I foresee alot of clean-up in my future, but after the sneak (bailey) was shoved thru a couple times from each side she figured it out almost instantly.

now that our backyard flood light works I think it keeps her up at night. last night she had some fun removing all the stuffing from digger's bed (who then went right back to sleep on bailey's still semi-intact bed) and then moved on to the bag of trash we left on the kitchen floor scattering some chicken broth cans, a broken wine glass and soggy paper towels. then at 4am she decided to test out her new found freedom via the doggy door. the flap has a big heavy magnet at the bottom which keeps it closed but after bailey went out side it swung back and forth 3 or 4 times making a knocking sound. I'm awake now and freaking out. I usually wake mike up but this time I felt bad since the last time I woke him up with "SOMEONE'S IN THE HOUSE!!!" it was just the neighbors getting into their car in their driveway which is right next to our bedroom. so after waiting for her grand re-entrance so that I'd know that was what that noise was for, for way too long, it sounded much quieter, so I couldn't really be sure!

I'm getting neurotic in my old age, I never used to wake up for anything let alone scared. good thing mike married me before it was too late for me Posted by nanapodes at November 21, 2003 1:16 PM
